Cowboys On Dinos
"Cowboys on Dinos" is a mixture of a management dice game and a golf game.
The goal of the game is to reach the end of the map (inside the fort with the light beam) with as many animals in your herd as possible.
To achieve this, you have to roll your die over the landscape and land inside one of the marked areas. Each result of your die will be subtracted from your herd. If you land inside a circle, you have to play a round of Blackjack to win or lose animals.
If you have 0 animals left, you lose.
It is an early prototype with a very reduced management part, presented by a Blackjack game where you win or lose some animals for your herd. We have a lot of ideas for this part—from many gambling games to helpful artifacts and items which will help the player avoid losing animals or do quests for different characters on the map.
The movement of the die is referencing golf. At this point, it's more like a mini-golf game, by just pulling back the die, letting it roll over the landscape, and trying to hit one of the marked areas in as few rolls as possible, to avoid losing animals. But we also plan to integrate the possibility of making a high shot, so that the behavior feels a bit more like classic golf.
